We're June and Ash, two photographers from Frome. We take on twenty-two weddings a year, so every couple gets both of us, fully, from the first nervous hour to the last song.

What the day looks like
Mostly, we just watch
A typical Whole Day, with both of us there. We send a draft timeline a month before and shape it around your venue's light, not the other way round.
- 11:30Getting readyAsh with one of you, June with the other. Mostly quiet: the dress, the letters, the nerves.
- 13:30Guests arriveThe people you haven't seen in years, finding each other again.
- 14:00The ceremonyTwo angles, no flash, and we never step into the aisle.
- 14:45Confetti and hugsThe loudest ten minutes of the day. We stay close and low.
- 15:15Family photographsFifteen minutes from a list you send us. We call the names, so you don't have to.
- 15:40A short walk, just you twoTen minutes somewhere near. You'll mostly just talk; we'll mostly just watch.
- 17:30Dinner and speechesFaces as much as speakers: the reactions are the photographs.
- 21:00First dance and the floorAn hour of dancing, or until you tell us to go home.

Questions
The ones everyone asks
Do you travel?
Anywhere within 60 miles of Frome is included, which covers Bath, Bristol, most of Wiltshire and the southern Cotswolds. Further than that we add travel at cost, and we love an excuse to go further.
How much will you direct us?
Very little. We'll gather family for fifteen minutes and take you for a short walk; the rest of the day we follow what happens. If you'd like more portraits, just say.
What if it rains?
Umbrellas, doorways and big windows. Some of our favourite portraits were taken in weather the forecast called terrible.
How do we hold our date?
A 25% retainer and a short contract. The balance is due a month before the wedding. Until then your date is only pencilled in.
Can we have just one of you?
Yes: The Afternoon is one photographer. On days when only one of us is free, it is the collection we can offer.
Do we get every photo?
You get every photograph worth keeping, edited by hand: usually more than you expect, never the forty near-identical frames either side.
