How an install goes

From deposit to switched on, usually inside two weeks.

    Quote and deposit

    Your answers price the job. A 25% deposit holds the date; the rest is due after the inspection passes.

  2. 02

    Permit filed

    We file the electrical permit with your city the next business day and post the number in your portal.

  3. 03

    Permit approved

    Most valley cities approve a charger or pool panel in two to five business days.

  4. 04

    Install

    Four to six hours for a charger. From May to October, outdoor work starts at 6:30 am and wraps before the heat.

  5. 05

    City inspection

    We meet the inspector, show the load calculation and the torque marks, and you get the sign-off.

  6. 06

    Rebates filed

    Receipts and the final permit go to the utility or the city; you watch the rebate move to paid.

The Phoenix year

Service on the valley's calendar, not a generic one.

Irrigation changes four times a year here, pools work hardest in July, and panels lose output to dust until the monsoon rinses them. Customers get a reminder and a route slot; you can also ask for a visit from the portal.

Questions we get every week

Do I need a panel upgrade for a charger?

Usually not. Most homes built after 1990 have a 200 A panel, and a load calculation shows room for a 40 or 48 A charger even with the AC running. When it's tight, a load manager pauses the charger at peak for about a third of the cost of an upgrade.

NACS or J1772?

Most new cars from 2025 on have the NACS (Tesla-style) port; many earlier ones use J1772. We install the charger with the plug your car has and can supply an adapter for a second car.

Why do you start at 6:30 in summer?

Garage and exterior walls pass 120°F by early afternoon from May to October. Early starts are safer for the crew and kinder to the wire and the fittings.

Can I still get the federal charger credit?

No. The 30C credit ended for chargers switched on after June 30, 2026. SRP's charger rebate is still open, and we file it for you.
